Celebrate the Frederick Arts Council’s 50th Anniversary with an original, handcrafted metal Black-Eyed Susan, designed by Lusmerlin as part of Black-Eyed Susans: Celebrating Fifty Years of Creativity in Bloom. Each flower is $40 and is available for preorder, with pickup at the Frederick Arts Council offices at 115 E. Church St. once the public art installation is completed at the end of the year.
Celebrate the full 50th Anniversary experience with the Commemorative Kit, featuring the metal Black-Eyed Susan, beeswax card, wispy yellow cloud, and a commemorative packet of Black-Eyed Susan seeds.

FAC’s 50th Anniversary Gala
Saturday, November 7th – 6pm
Join the Frederick Arts Council in Celebrating 50 Years of Creative Community with a spectacular anniversary gala through a total immersion art experience with a black-eyed susan theme!
Enjoy a musical welcome by the FCC Music Department’s jazz quartet, savory, hand-crafted hors d’oeuvres, a seated dinner featuring a variety of entrees and sides at your table throughout the evening’s performances and program. Several star performances lead up to a headlining feature of American Idol Superstar Rae Boyd. Close out the evening with dancing accompanied by a local DJ, and decadent desserts provided by the talented FCC Hospitality, Culinary & Tourism Institute (HCTI).
Enjoy this full evening open bar including beer, wine, prosecco, and nonalcoholic beverages.

Black-Eyed Susans: Fifty Years of Creativity in Bloom–
Lusmerlin Lantigua Selected for Public Art Installation
The FAC selected Lusmerlin Lantigua to design the Black-Eyed Susans that will be displayed across various locations in Frederick County.
Lantigua’s winning submission includes 500 individual, metal-stamped Black-Eyed Susans. The number holds deep symbolic weight: 10 flowers for every year the Council has fostered creativity and cultural stewardship in Frederick.
The flowers from the installation will be available for purchase at $40 a piece. They are currently available for preorder on GiveButter.com
