Member Services

Frederick Arts Council members together form a thriving and engaged collective that is constantly expanding what’s possible for Frederick and the arts. Our role and our goal as Frederick’s local arts council is to facilitate the growth and success of artists and arts professionals. With that in mind, we provide the following member services, including marketing, fiscal agency, convening, networking, professional development & content forums, as well as member discounts. See details below:

Marketing

The Frederick Arts Council sends out a biweekly newsletter to over 3,000 subscribers detailing the latest FAC news, arts community news, calls to artists, and a variety of upcoming arts events such as theatre performances, concerts, gallery exhibits, and more. All members are automatically subscribed, and receive the ability to advertise in the newsletter at no additional cost. Members can also add their events to our online Calendar of Events.

Members can also submit information up to two times per year to be sent as an e-blast to our mailing list at $75 per blast.

The FAC underwrites the Ticket to the Arts program, an advertising opportunity included in the Frederick News-Post’s weekly 72 Hours insert, made available to members at an affordable rate

We have a partnership with the Baltimore chapter of NPR (WYPR) for a Frederick community arts news segment in which we include selected upcoming events from our members, as well.

Convening, Networking, Professional Development & Content Forums

FAC members are invited to numerous events throughout the year designed to help them learn and grow as professionals and make connections in their field.

The Frederick Arts Council holds members’ meetings, which are often structured as content forums with themes such as Arts in Education, Collaboration in the Arts, and Public Art in Practice. Each members’ meeting includes dedicated time for members to share news and events from their organizations.

We also occasionally hold grant application workshops and other educational seminars designed to help artists and arts professionals make the most of available opportunities.

FAC is here for YOU, and we would love for you to join us. Support programming and resources for the arts in Frederick and become part of a growing collective when you become a Frederick Arts Council member today.
