Frederick Arts Council Awards READI Grants to Artists and Arts Organizations

Frederick, MD – The Frederick Arts Council awarded READI grants to the following nine artists and arts organizations today:

  • Karin Birch
  • Asian American Center of Frederick
  • Frederick County Landmarks Foundation (Barnstormers)
  • Frederick Makers
  • Out40 Media
  • PopUp Frederick
  • Shabnam Samuel
  • TAG/The Artists Gallery
  • The Valley Jazz Collective

The purpose of the Resources for Emerging Arts Development Initiative (READI) grants is to strengthen the vitality and sustainability of artists and small organizations to obtain a strong and stable arts infrastructure in Frederick.

“We are pleased to be able to provide support to innovative artists and arts organizations in Frederick. It’s been a difficult year for the arts just when our community needs their inspiration and uplift the most. We are eager to ensure that emerging, responsive arts programming is sustained,” said Louise Kennelly, Executive Director of the Frederick Arts Council.
