THE FREDERICK ARTS COUNCIL ANNOUNCES COCKTAILS AND CAROUSELS EVENT ON SEPTEMBER 24 AT 7TH SISTER IN …

The Frederick Arts Council is holding a fall fundraiser to support arts programming throughout the County. Cocktails & Carousels will feature performing musicians, a live auction of refurbished carousel horses, a silent auction of select carousel related artwork, light food and beverages, and connecting with the local creative community. Join us in celebrating the arts in Frederick!

Leading up to the event, decorated carousel horses will be on display throughout Frederick.

This public art pop-up of Carousel Horses on Parade will feature life-sized whimsical statues, each decorated by selected artists.

Artists who refurbished and decorated carousel horses were juried and selected by a committee. Selected artists include Shane Acuff, Esperanza Alzona, Elizabeth Ashe with Lowe Turner, Breck Brunson, Joan Cartier, Lea Craigie Marshall, Adam Curtis, Suzanne and Barbara Feldman with Geoff Quinn and Vicki Sipe, Lusmerlin Lantigua, Matt Long, Sheldon Mathis, Cythia Scott-Johnson and Bill Watson.

Beautiful artwork by area artists featuring the carousel theme will also be available via silent auction, including artwork by Mary Page Evans, Lee Newman, Rebecca Jackson, Rebecca Pearl, Melissa Adler, and Mark Adler among others.
