The Frederick Arts Council’s Festival of the Arts needs you! This annual event depends on our enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to be successful. As a volunteer, you’ll be engaging and welcoming our visitors to provide the best experience possible! We are committed to making the Festival an exceptional experience for our VOLUNTEERS too!

Festival Volunteer Check-In

Please check in at the volunteer booth at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time

OR stop by the volunteer booth on Friday, May 31st 10:00 am – 1:00 pm & 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

to review the ins and outs of your assignment, this year’s Festival map, and any questions you may have!

The Festival Volunteer Booth is located under the suspension bridge on Carroll Creek (beside C. Burr Artz Library)

Join us for a brief face-to-face session reviewing the ins and outs of your chosen volunteer assignment, this year’s Festival map, and any questions you may have!

Volunteers are asked to:

  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the shift for check-in


  • Come prepared for weather, the Festival is rain or shine


  • Always be courteous and friendly to guests and artists


  • Expect the unexpected, and HAVE FUN
