FAC Attends “Leading Edge” Ceramic Art Exhibition at Hood College

Hood College Graduate Ceramics Arts ProgramThis past weekend, Michael Campagnoli, President of the Frederick Arts Council, attended a special showing overseen by the Graduate Ceramics Arts Program at Hood College, Frederick, Maryland. The program’s focus on the aesthetics and the science of the ceramic arts sets itself apart from traditional programs. This was the opening reception for the “Collector’s Voices in Ceramic Art: A Leading Edge Exhibition” featuring historical and contemporary ceramics at Hood’s Whitaker Gallery.  Nineteen regional ceramic art collectors, many affiliated with the James Renwick Alliance, have loaned art works from around the world for their personal collections for this exhibition. The exhibition runs from March 2nd to April 2nd.
